555. Silas LEONARD²⁸⁹ was born on 15 February 1757 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co, MA. He died on 15 December 1845 at the age of 88 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. He was a soldier, corporal in the Revolutionary War. (See DAR) He moved from Middleborough to Kent in 1780, purchased a farm, and resided there until his death. He was fond of walking long distances and at one time walked to Boston and back.

On 25 August 1794, Silas Leonard of Kent, CT, yeoman, sold to Jonathan Leonard of Middleborugh his share of 68 acres given to them by their father's will.

Silas LEONARD and Anna TYLER were married in 1780 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. Anna TYLER²⁹⁹ was born in 1759 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. She died on 10 May 1796 at the age of 37 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT.

Silas LEONARD and Anna TYLER had the following children:

1289	i.	Lucy LEONARD²⁹⁷ was born on 16 August 1781 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. She died on 5 March 1860 at the age of 78.
1290	ii.	Thomas LEONARD²⁹⁷ was born on 18 July 1784 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. He died in 1863 at the age of 79.

1295	vii.	Benjamin LEONARD³⁰⁰ was born on 7 May 1796 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. He died on 28 December 1875 at the age of 79.

Silas LEONARD and Hannah HAWLEY were married on 2 January 1797 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT. Hannah HAWLEY³⁰¹ was born about 1767. She died on 24 April 1840 at the age of 73.

Silas LEONARD and Hannah HAWLEY had the following children:

1298	iii.	Mariah LEONARD³⁰⁰ was born on 8 January 1801 in Kent, Litchfield Co., CT.
