208. Deacon Reuben LEONARD26 was born on 25 November 1716 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He died on 23 August 1805 at the age of 88 in West Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He lived in West Springfield and deeded his homelot of 110 acres over to his son, Thaddeus. Revolutionary War veteran. DAR Patriot index, also Jacobus.

He married, late in life, Martha (Leonard) Lewis, b. abt. 1730, d. 20 Jan 1814, age 84, daughter of Ebenezer Leonard and Martha Miller (per Jacobus).

Jacobus has a different list of children for Reuben and Mirian, with Patience and an extra Enoch. Another manuscript at the Springfield Historical Library lists twins Enoch and Timothy b. 14 Dec 1755.

Deacon Reuben LEONARD and Miriam DAY were married after 22 December 1739 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Miriam DAY, daughter of Ebenezer DAY and Mercy HITCHCOCK, was born on 4 March 1718 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She died on 7 August 1791 at the age of 73 in West Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She was the sister of Sarah Day, who married Josiah Leonard. Name is also spelled Meriam in records.
