512. Timothy LEONARD29 was born on 24 July 1753 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He died on 12 April 1814 at the age of 60 in Lansingburgh, Rensselaer Co., NY.92 He went to Albany and married there, according to

"Timothy Leonard, born 14 December 1755 (different date) at West Springfield, MA, son of Reuben and Miriam Day Leonard, married Mary Baldwin. He lived at Granville, Washington Co., NY, and then at Lansingburgh, Rensselaer Co., NY. When living at Granville, he was noted as a merchant when he was granted administration of the estate of Abel Comstock 20 November 1795.He was in Granville in 1790 census at 4-0-3 and in 1800 at 0-0-3-0-1 and 2-3-2-1-0. He was a town officer in Granville in 1791 and a Member of the Assembly in 1796-7 and 1800-01. (ESNYS: I:138)." Frank Dougherty, "The Settlers of the Beekman Patent," p. 66. His will does not mention his children by name. His wife was executrix. Daughter Ann Leonard was among the witnesses to the will. His will mentions a nephew, Elisha Sheldon.

It appears that Timothy or his children removed to Granville, Washington Co., NY. A Timothy Leonard was elected a town officer at Granville, Washington Co., NY, in 1791-96 and died there bef. 11 April 1814. He was commissioner of common school in 1805 and 1812. Timothy Leonard and Mary Baldwin had a daughter, Mary, the 4th dau. in the family, b. 3 Dec 1795 at Granville. She d. 21 Dec 1817 and was married to Charles Mason.

Timothy LEONARD and Mary BALDWIN were married on 11 December 1788. Mary BALDWIN was born on 20 January 1761 in Litchfield, CT. She died on 14 January 1846 at the age of 84 in NY.93
