In the 1850 Census, he was living in Hancock, Delaware Co., NY, with his family. He was a farmer. His wife, Emily, and the children were all born in NY. Sons William and Charles were also farmers.

Abigail DOYLE was born in 1801. She died in 1829 at the age of 28 in Hancock, Delaware Co., NY.

Charles LEONARD and Amanda Emily FITCH had the following children:

1532	i.	Abigail M. "Abby" LEONARD¹¹⁵ was born on 8 July 1838 in Hancock, Delaware Co., NY. She died on 10 August 1887 at the age of 49 in Walton, Delaware Co., NY. In the 1850 Census, she was a school teacher living with her parents.

1534	iii.	Webster Fitch LEONARD was born in 1842 in Hancock, Delaware Co., NY. He died in 1842 at the age of 0 in Hancock, Delaware Co., NY.
1535	iv.	Hanford Fitch LEONARD¹¹⁵ was born on 26 December 1843 in Hancock, Delaware Co., NY. He died on 19 January 1929 at the age of 85. In the 1850 Census, he was a farmer living with his parents in Hancock. Constance Leonard has his name as Hanson, not Hanford.
