2736. Henry Taber LEONARD²⁵⁷³ was born on 17 August 1818 in South Yarmouth, MA. He died in July 1879 at the age of 60 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. He was educated in the public schools and at Friends Academy in Providence, RI. He went to New York as a partner in te firm of Wetherell Sprague & Co., oil and iron merchants. He returned to New Bedford into the lumber business cirm of Leonard and Greene. He went to California in the gold rush, but returned. He was a Quaker. He was City Clerk of New Bedford for 17 years 1862-1879.

Henry Taber LEONARD and Deborah Allen BUTLER were married in June 1841. Deborah Allen BUTLER, daughter of Daniel BUTLER and Mary , was born on 18 January 1818. She died on 16 December 1901 at the age of 83.

4529	vi.	Roland Allen LEONARD²⁵⁷⁷ was born on 1 January 1855 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. He died on 31 December 1923 at the age of 68 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. He died unmarried.
