4525. Daniel Butler LEONARD³⁵⁴⁷ was born on 6 April 1844 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. He died on 13 March 1911 at the age of 66 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. He was a soldier in the Civil War, enlisting in Co. E of the 2nd MA Volunteers. He prepared for college, but went to work as a bookkeeper for his uncle Thomas W. Leonard in NY. He was made a partner, but returned to New Bedford as assistant assessor. He was City Clerk from 1879 to 1911.

They had no children.

Daniel Butler LEONARD and Charlotte E. HOWARD were married on 28 July 1869. Charlotte E. HOWARD was born on 23 August 1845. She died on 8 December 1912 at the age of 67.
