158. Thomas LEONARD was born about 1780 in Brunswick Co., North Carolina. He died about 1818 at the age of 38 in Brunswick Co., North Carolina. When his father, Jacob, died in 1790, Thomas chose his uncle, Samuel Leonard, as guardian.

When Thomas died in 1818, the estate was divided out; the several children received shares; and all the brothers went West. Thomas may have been a lawyer or judge.

Thomas Leonard (presumably this one) was a member of the North Carolina General Assembly from Brunswick Co. (1803-1810 House of Commons, and was a state senator in 1811). (Source: Sally Toomey)

Thomas LEONARD and Ann PARRISH were married in 1801. Ann PARRISH was born about 1782 in NC. She died in 1850 at the age of 68 in Brunswick, NC.
