Zebulon LEONARD456 was born on 6 Mar 1729/30 in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA.456 He died on 29 Nov 1794 in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA.457 He was buried on 2 Dec 1794 in Lakeville Cemetery (Thompson's Hill), Lakeville, MA.55 He was Town Assessor, 1765. It was voted that he among others beconfined to his homestead except on the Lord's Day unless they makesatisfactory pledges to the Town Committee of Safety (pro-independencecommittee), and if they were found off their homsteads, they were to betaken to Roxbury to the Military. He was reported by the selectmen asone of those enimically (sic) disposed in the present struggle with GreatBritain. But in 1789 he was elected representative, selectman in 1791,Selectman in 1793/4 and 1795, and Moderator in 1795. (ECL)

He died "in 1/2 hour, after taken poorly."

He and his brother were in court over dividing their father's libraryduring the Court of Common Pleas term of December 1785 to April 1791.They were also in court over words spoken by Sarah Leonard about Zebulon.

In the 1790 Census, Zebulon shows as having a family of 6 -- 2 malesunder 16, 1 male over 16 (Zebulon?), 3 females (wife would be one).Children missing here?
