988. Deacon Jonas HUMPHREY was born in 1622 in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, England.³⁶² He died on 30 October 1689 at the age of 67 in Weymouth, Norfolk Co., MA. H was a tanner in Wendon, Buckinghamshire, England, and was also constable there. He came to America with his father in 1637, remained a few years in Dorchester where he was a freeman in 1640 and one of the proprietors of the town. He then removed to Weymouth. He lived in a part of town known as "Old Spain" on Neck Road He was made a freeman in 1653 and served as a selectman. MARTHA and Deacon Jonas HUMPHREY were married in 1648 in Dorchester, Norfolk Co., MA.

989. MARTHA was born in 1620. She died before 1689 at the age of 69.

Children were:

	ii.	Nathaniel HUMPHREY was born in 1652.
	iii.	Jonas HUMPHREY was born on 24 February 1655 in Dorchester, MA.
	iv.	John HUMPHREY was born on 31 August 1658.
	v.	Sarah HUMPHREY was born on 16 May 1661.
	vi.	James HUMPHREY was born on 10 September 1665.
