He died on 25 March 1545 at the age of 40 in Combermere, Salop (Shropshire), England. He served as Sheriff of Denbighshire and was esquire to the body of King Henry VIII. He was knighted by the latter in or before 1542. He was given a new grant to Combermere by Henry VIII 3 February 1541/2, obtaining the site and demesne of the Abbey and two-thirds of Newhall Manor.
