224. William BENNET was born about 1705 in Tiverton. He died in 1771 at the age of 66 in Long Plain (Achusnet), Bristol Co. MA. In 1731 Robert Bennit purchased several parcels of land in Dartmouth, MA for 1500 pounds "old tenor" and gave William a farm at this location. He later gave son John a neighboring farm. Desire MANCHESTER and William BENNET were married on 6 December 1722 in Tiverton, R.I..²²³

225. Desire MANCHESTER was born about 1703 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. She may have been the dau. of George, Stephen, or Job, sons of Thomas Manchester and Margaret Wood. She may have been a cousin of Amey Manchester, listed elsewhere in this genealogy.

	viii.	Patience BENNET was born about 1732.
	ix.	Sarah BENNET was born about 1734.
