Seventh Generation

320. Sidney Decker KELLS was born on 7 February 1876 in Columbia Co, NY. When he registered for the World War I draft in 1917, he was the sexton at the Reformed Church, Claverack, and married to Anna Elizabeth. He had a sister, Jessie. Both he and his sister were "rented out" as servants in the 1900 Census-- parents dead? In the 1930 Census, his father, 70, was living with the family. Sidney apparently had no children. In the 1940 Census, he, his wife Ann, b. in Germany, and his sister, Jessie, were living in Claverack. He was working as a laborer in a private home.

A social note in the Hudson newspaper in 1912 noted that they were visited in Claverack by Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Moore of Livingston and by Miss Eva Dickenson of Hudson.

Sidney Decker KELLS and Anna Elizabeth "Annie or Ann" were married in 1900 in Columbia Co, NY. Anna Elizabeth "Annie or Ann" was born in 1883 in Germany. She died before 1920 at the age of 37 in NY.
