Daniel ANDERSSON was born on 19 June 1755 in Holmängen, Långared, Älvsborgs län, Sweden.81 He died on 12 December 1786 at the age of 31 in Holmängen, Långared, Älvsborgs län, Sweden.82 He was buried on 24 December 1786. Anna's birth record indicates Daniel Andersson was her father; at the time of Anna's marriage, her father's name was given as Daniel Hansson. Her mother was apparently married to her second husband, Pehr Matheson, at the time. Daniel was listed as 31 at the time of his death. He died of gangrene. He was residing at Holmängen. Kjerstin SVENSDOTTER and Daniel ANDERSSON were married on 12 April 1778 in Långared, Älvsborgs län, Sweden.83 27. Kjerstin SVENSDOTTER was born on 8 April 1758 in Lerbäcken or Holmängen, Långared, Älvsborgs län, Sweden.84 The records for Holmängen are confusing. The early ones are written in Gothic and are almost indecipherable. The later ones include a lot of farm help. It appears Holmången was in Kjerstin's family. She apparently married twice, first to Daniel Hansson and second to Pehr Matheson. It appears Pehr's mother, Anna Larsdotter, b. March 1723, was living with them, although it could have been Kerstin's aunt, sister of her father. She was 19 (indistinct) in marriage to Daniel, then 23, in 1778. It appears she was from Holmängen in that record, as was Daniel. The record is very badly smudged. The household examination 1783-98 lists her date of birth as April 8, 1758 in Lerbäcken. That would agree with her being 19 at the time of her first marriage. At that point she was married to Lars Mathesson, b. 1763. But the Långared birth records (694.2.24200) show a Christina being born to Sven Törstensson and Gunnur Andersdotter of Lerbäcken on April 8, 1758. Was there simply a mistake in recording her name? Lerbäcken was next to Holmängen. A Kerstin b. 20 February 1763 to Sven Gudmundson and Kerstin Andersdotter at Holmängen. There's a good chance for confusion here! Also, a Kerstin Jacobson, b. 13 May 1758, daughter of Jacob Olsson, was working at Holmängen. Alternatively, her parents could have been Sven Larsson and Anna Svenson, brother Daniel Svenson b. 1756, sister Johanna b. 1750 who died young.
