Third Generation

4. Johannes JONASSON was born on 19 April 1795 in Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.11 He died on 12 October 1846 at the age of 51 in Gammalstorp, Hällstad, Älvsborg län, Sweden.12 Witnesses to his birth were Sven Andersson from Djupedahl, Pehr Jonasson from ?Bergdahl, Sara Lila Jonsdotter from Brunnstorp, Annika Pehrsdotter from Salunda. (GID 1911.12.95400). Parents (clear) Jonas Jönsson and Ingierd Olufsdotter.

He was 35 when married, she 25, checks with birth dates. I can't find her parents at Skattegarden. He moved in 1829 to the Backstuga at Gammaltorp, where he was a 1/4 owner. She moved there after they were married in 1830. Johannes' brother Sven inherited the 1/4 ownership of Gammaltorp when his father died.

In the 1826-1832 Household Examination (GID: 1911.4.2000), he, his wife, and daughter Cajsa are listed as living at Gammalstorp, where he was a 1/4 owner. It was in this period that he moved to the Backstuga there. In the 1841-61 Household examination (GID: 1911.6.18100), it shows his death (name crossed out, notation as to date of death), but his widow and family apparently continued to live there (not crossed out, not shown as moving). Brothers Jöns and Andreas bought or inherited another 1/4 ownership there, which passed to Andreas' son when Jöns died.

5. Annika JOHANSDOTTER was born on 12 February 1805 in Brobacken, Hällstad, Älvsborgs län, Sweden.15 She died on 7 June 1885 at the age of 80 in Krokstorp, Hössna, Älvsborg län, Sweden.16 The family is noted in Hällstad parish church records A1:5, page 141, and AI:6, page 35 and 41. Research done then by Swedish genealogist Kerstin Jonmyren, Swedish Genealogy Company, per correspondence dtd. 26 May 2000, added to since then.

In 1850 the widow Annika and her children sold the 1/4 ownership in their farm at Gammalstorp, and all of them moved to Blidsberg Parish east of Hällstad (GID: 1911.6.28300, household examination 1850-61, p. 41).

Apparently, Annika was living with her daughter, Johanna, and her son, Johannes, at Krokstorp at the time of her death, having moved there from Timmele May 29, 1885, just a few days before her death.
