Fourth Generation

96. Keelin LEONARD was born on 15 August 1811 in Rowan Co., NC. He died on 25 March 1901 at the age of 89 in Sheldon, Obrien Co., IA. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia, IA. Keelin lived in Williams Co., OH, after his marriage to Elizabeth. In 1848, they migrated to Elkhart Co., IN. From Elkhart, the family moved to Carroll Co., IL, residing there until 1875. Then they traveled by train to newly opened land in Cherokee Co., IA, near Aurelia.

He was a successful farmer. The Family Genealogy was written up by Caroroll Leonard in 1976: "Grigsby x Leonard Bicentennial 1776-1976 Genealogy."

Keelin LEONARD and Elizabeth DICE were married on 21 April 1836 in Williams Co., OH. Elizabeth DICE was born on 9 October 1816 in Carlisle, Cumberland Co., PA. She died on 27 February 1891 at the age of 74 in IA.

Keelin LEONARD and Elizabeth DICE had the following children:

178	viii.	Samuel LEONARD was born on 25 September 1849 in Elkhart Co., IN. He died on 10 February 1933 at the age of 83 in Carroll Co., IL.
