2397. Ruliff Voorhees LEONARD was born on 4 March 1824 in Hector, Tompkins Co., NY.⁴⁹⁸ He died on 10 March 1861 at the age of 37 in MI.⁴⁹⁸ He lived in Wright, Hillsdale Co., MI. In the 1860 Census, the family had five children, the last two being Edwin Duett, 4, and Ralph Duett, 2. Were they adopted? Disagrees with family genealogy.

Ruliff Voorhees LEONARD and Bethesda PERRIN were married on 13 April 1848.⁴⁹⁸ Bethesda PERRIN³⁴⁴ was born in 1823 in CT. In the 1870 Census, the family was living in Wright, Hillsdale Co., MI. Dwight Perrin apparently went by the name "Perrin" and Mason Howell Leonard went by the name of "Howell" (as listed in Census).

Ruliff Voorhees LEONARD and Bethesda PERRIN had the following children:

3317	i.	Emily LEONARD⁴⁹⁸ was born in 1849. She died in 1927 at the age of 78.
3318	ii.	Dwight Perrin LEONARD⁴⁹⁸ was born in 1851.
3319	iii.	Catherine LEONARD⁴⁹⁸ was born in 1854. She died in 1864 at the age of 10.
