William Kenyon LEONARD was born on 18 September 1821 in Hector, Tompkins Co., NY.⁴⁹⁸ He died on 17 July 1885 at the age of 63 in White Bead Hill, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (Oklahoma).⁶⁰⁰ In 1850 and 1860, they lived in Jefferson, Hillsdale Co., MI. In the 1850 Census, George Jenkins, 6, was living with them. Was he adopted? In 1860, he was no longer listed in the family. The three children in 1860 were Benjamin F., Finley, and Burton. In 1870, they lived in Virgil, Vernon Co., MO.

He was a Civil War veteran. He was a doctor, educated at Medical School in Louisville, KY.

William Kenyon LEONARD and Clarinda Unice BLACK were married on 27 September 1843 in White Bead Hill, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (Oklahoma). Clarinda Unice BLACK⁶⁰⁰ was born on 3 September 1825 in Ridgefield twp., Huron Co., OH. She died on 23 November 1888 at the age of 63 in Chickawaw Nation, Indian Territory, OK.
