939. John LEONARD^102,401 was born on 13 June 1806 in Warwick, Franklin Co., MA. He died on 13 January 1865 at the age of 58 in Galesburg, IL. He taught school in Warwick. In 1829 he went with his cousin, Jonathan Blake, to Illinois and located near Lowell, LaSalle Co., where he had a farm for 20 years. In 1849 he removed to Galesburg for better schooling for his children. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and later worked for the American Bible Society, where he was an active missionary in the Galesburg area.

John LEONARD and Louisa CONANT were married on 5 March 1832. Louisa CONANT, daughter of Asa CONANT and Martha MERRIAM, was born on 8 June 1798 in Warwick, MA. She died on 6 March 1872 at the age of 73 in Galesburg, IL.

John LEONARD and Louisa CONANT had the following children:

1985	i.	Levi Jones LEONARD⁴⁰² was born on 26 October 1833 in Lowell, LaSalle Co, IL. He died on 16 May 1854 at the age of 20 in Galesburg, IL.
1986	ii.	Sarah Blake LEONARD⁴⁰² was born on 28 February 1836 in Lowell, LaSalle Co, IL. She died on 14 April 1857 at the age of 21 in Galesburg, IL.
