128. Elisha LEONARD was born on 2 January 1751 in Preston, New London Co., CT. He died after 1832 at the age of 81 in Charlotte, Chittenden Co., VT. At age 81, he completed an application for a pension based on his Revolutionary War service. Pension file #13433. He was the Elisha Leonard, S13733, MA Line, "born 2 Jan 1751 at Preston Ct & he lived at Worthington MA at enlistment and after the Rev War he lived in the Susquehanna Country" for 14 years at different places until about 1817 he moved to Charlotte in Chittenden Co, VT & he applied there 15 Aug 1832." His wife's name is unknown. There were a number of Russel families in central MA in the 1790 Census. Could his wife's last name have been Russel (the Russel name, with one L, was carried on in the family for several generations.
