39. Capt. Ebenezer LEONARD35 was born on 17 March 1710 in Preston, New London Co., CT. He was baptized on 8 May 1710 in Preston (now Griswold), New London Co., CT. He died after 1765 at the age of 55. He was appointed by the General Assembly of the Colony to be Captain of the second company of Preston. He represented the town as a Deputy to the General Assembly in 1744, 1745, 1747, and 1750. He later was one of the founders and moved to Worthington, Hampshire County, MA, when settlement began there in 1765.
