16. Abner Hogan LEONARD was born on 1 August 1827 in Iredell Co.,NC. He died on 26 August 1910 at the age of 83 in Salem, Dent County, MO. He was in Company D, 32nd Missouri Volunteer Infantry, during the Civil War.

They lived at Spring Creek, Dent County, MO.

Abner Hogan LEONARD and Mary Ann STAGNER were married on 17 January 1850 in Crawford Co., MO. Mary Ann STAGNER was born on 2 September 1829 in KY. She died on 25 October 1891 at the age of 62 in Dent County, MO. She was buried at Stagner Cemetery.

Abner Hogan LEONARD and Mary Ann STAGNER had the following children:

26	v.	Eliza Ellen LEONARD was born in 1859 in Dent County, MO. She died in 1939 at the age of 80.
27	vi.	John Wesley LEONARD was born in 1861 in Dent County, MO.
