972. Mary "Polly" DAY was born on 10 March 1786 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She died on 5 February 1882 at the age of 95 in Sizerville, Cambria Co., PA.

Mary "Polly" DAY and Hiram SIZER were married about 1828. Hiram SIZER, son of William SIZER and Abigail WILCOX, was born on 17 July 1791 in Chester, Hampden Co., MA. He died on 9 June 1869 at the age of 77 in Portage, Cambria Co., PA. Hiram was the 15thy child of William & Abigail (Wilcox) Sizer. He was born in July 1791.He and Polly moved into Pennsylvania and finally settled in Cameron County in north central Pennsylvania. The arera is now the Elk State Forest and Sizerville has disappeared. Polly Day Sizer was small but sturdy and was a healer. She rode horseback through the country with herbs hanging from the saddle to use in treating the sick. The family lived in a tent until logs could be cut to make a cabin. A fire was kept burning in front of the tent to keep the wild animals away.

They had a daughter, Rosannah.
