255. Lt. Col. Noadiah LEONARD²⁶ was born on 10 September 1737 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. He died on 26 April 1790 at the age of 52 in Sunderland, Franklin Co., MA.⁴⁷ He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Sunderland, Franklin Co., MA. His cattle mark: "A swallows tayl in the left ear and a half peny the underside of the same ear." He was a capt. in the Revolutionary War. He answered the Lexington Alarm. DAR Patriot Index. Northfield History says he signed a petition to kill off all obnoxious animals that kill sheep and cattle. (p.333).

Lt. Col. Noadiah LEONARD and Jerusha SMITH were married on 7 July 1757 in Sunderland, Franklin Co., MA. Jerusha SMITH, daughter of Nathaniel SMITH and Abigail ALLIS, was born on 3 February 1739 in Franklin Co., MA. She died on 22 September 1823 at the age of 84. Or did she die 26 Apr 1790 in Winchester, Cheshire Co., NH.
