7. John B. LEONARD was born on 30 July 1826 in Pittsburgh, Allegany Co., PA. He died on 30 October 1883 at the age of 57 in Parker, Butler Co., PA. He was the superintendent of the old Maple Furnace in Butler Co., PA, also a businessman with wide interests as an oil producer, coal handler, banking, and railroads. He died of an accident in October 1883. (Armstrong County: Her People, Past and Present, Vol. 2)

In the 1870 Census, John B. was an oil and coal dealer in Parker, Butler Co., PA. Margaret was 13 years younger. Reuben, listed as a retired farmer, was living with them.

John B. LEONARD and Margaret J. BORDIDGE were married in 1873 in PA. Margaret J. BORDIDGE was born about 1836 in PA. Listed as 13 years younger than John and as 9 years younger in the 1870 and 1880 Censuses.
