He and Ann apparently arrived in America in 21 May 1822 on the Schooner, Two Friends. He left from Bristol, England. "An iron works in Kensington (PA) was built in 1825 by George Lewis and Reuben Leonard (A Century and a Half of Pittsburg and her People). Reuben and his brother Samuel operated the first ironworks in the city (Pittsburgh), later called the Kensington rolling mills. They moved to Bear Creek in 1833 and took over the ironworks there, which they operated at a profit until sometime after 1840, when Reuben retired. Reuben died at the old Parker homestead in November 188-. (Armstrong County: Her People Past and Present, Vol. 2, p. 535) Reuben LEONARD and Ann Lee EDWARDS were married on 16 March 1822 at St. Nicholas Church, Bristol in Gloucestershire, England.
