704. Hulda LEONARD was born about 1764 in Bolton, CT. She died before 1840 at the age of 76.

Hulda LEONARD and Daniel CARPENTER were married on 16 October 1783 in Vernon, Tolland Co., CT.⁸⁵⁴ Daniel CARPENTER, son of Daniel CARPENTER, was born on 9 May 1755 in Coventry, Tolland Co., CT. He died on 15 August 1840 at the age of 85 in Ripley, Huron Co., OH. He was buried in Christian Church (Houfstatter) Cemetery, Ripley, Huron Co., OH. Per Winifred Sihon, 15 Jan 2007: In his Revolutionary War pension application dtd 13 Apr 1820 at Vienna, Oneida Co, NY, Daniel says he is 65 and his wife 56 and that he joined the Continental Army while a resident of Bolton, CT, in 1775 (Revolutionary War Pension File #42116).

The 1790 US Census has him at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. In 1800, he and his father are enumerated in immediate succession in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. He and his family are recorded at Pompey, Onondaga Co., NY, in 1810 and he was living there in 1820. It appears he was living with a daughter, Theodosia (Mrs. Chauncey) Tuttle in 1830 and moved to Huron Co, OH, in 1833 (requested that his pension payments be sent there in 1833). His final pension payments were sent to his children in Ohio in 1840.

1553	ii.	Sally CARPENTER was born (date unknown).
1554	iii.	Hulda Rosanna CARPENTER⁸⁵⁵ was born about 1791. She died after 1850 at the age of 59. She married Ezra Chappel, who died 1 July 1865 in New London, CT.
1555	iv.	Theodosia CARPENTER⁸⁵⁵ was born on 21 January 1792 in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. She died on 24 July 1838 at the age of 46 in Fairfield, Huron Co., OH. She was buried in North Fairfield Cemetery, Huron Co., OH. She married Chauncey Tuttle.
1556	v.	Eber CARPENTER⁸⁵⁵ was born in 1799 in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. He died on 2 August 1856 at the age of 57 in Highland, Oakland Co., MI. He was buried in West Highland Cemetery, Oakland Co., MI. His wife's father had settled in Michigan, which apparently led Eber and Alsia to settle there. He married Alsia Platt, daughter of Obadiah Platt.
1557	vi.	Eunice CARPENTER⁸⁵⁵ was born on 21 February 1801 in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. She died on 8 June 1834 at the age of 33 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH. She married Daniel Tuttle, b. 25 Apr 1798 in Camden, Oneida Co., NY, d. 25 Oct 1877 in Springfield, OH.
1558	vii.	Harvey CARPENTER⁸⁵⁵ was born in 1804 in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. He died in Canaan, Athens Co., OH. Harvey married Abigail, last name unknown.
1559	viii.	Asa CARPENTER⁸⁵⁵ was born on 14 March 1805 in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT. He died on 15 April 1875 at the age of 70 in Ripley, Huron Co., OH. He was buried in Houfstatter Cemetery, Ripley twp., Huron Co., OH. Asa moved to Ohio in 1825. The 1830 Census shows an elderly man and elderly woman living with his family, possibly his parents. He married Roxana Scott, b. 1805, d. 20 Aug 1835 in Ripley, Huron Co., OH. After she died, he married Abigail West.
