In the 1890-91 Detroit city directory, he was listed with Leonard and Carter Furniture Co. as vice president and treasurer. David Carter was his son-in-law. The business was located at 237-241 Woodward Avenue, Detroit. David Carter was the President.

Henry R. LEONARD and Anna E. were married about 1872. Anna E. was born about 1852 in OH.
