272. John LEONARD was born in 1794 in SC. He died in 1870 at the age of 76. There's an issue as to whether this John Leonard is a son of Jonas or a son of William Leonard and Elizabeth Haines. The latter had family settling in TN; the former did not. Check out Jackson, TN.

John LEONARD and Elizabeth CHERRY were married about 1825. Elizabeth CHERRY, daughter of Lemuel CHERRY, was born in 1798 in NC. She died in 1870 at the age of 72.

John LEONARD and Elizabeth CHERRY had the following children:

430	i.	Obediah LEONARD was born about 1827 in Jackson Co., TN. He died on 2 January 1863 at the age of 36 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN.
+431	ii.	William LEONARD.
432	iii.	Robert LEONARD was born in 1830 in Jackson Co., TN. He died in 1870 at the age of 40.
433	iv.	Lemuel LEONARD was born in 1834 in Jackson Co., TN. He died in 1862 at the age of 28 in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN.
