2570. Shepard LEONARD was born on 3 Apr 1791 in Foxborough, MA. He died on 23 Jul 1867 in Chester, VT. They resided in Andover, VT. "He came to Andover in an ox cart in 1808,cleared a farm there, and erected a blacksmith shop. His last years werespent with his son at Chester, and he died there." New England Families,Historical and Genealogical, Vol. 3, p. 1342.

In the 1850 Census, he and his family were living next door to HoraceLeonard, wife Sarah, and their 3 children as well as Orison Leonard, 22,also a farmer.

Shepard LEONARD and Mary EASTMAN were married on 28 Jun 1808. Mary EASTMAN was born on 13 Nov 1786. She died on 30 May 1876. Shepard LEONARD and Mary EASTMAN had the following children:

3782	v.	Marie S. LEONARD was born on 18 Oct 1817 in Andover, VT. She died on 8 Jul 1895.
3783	vi.	Albert E. LEONARD was born on 13 Apr 1820 in Andover, VT. He died on 15 Sep 1900.
