3161. Daniel Wright LEONARD was born in May 1845 in Canada. He died in 1923 in Alexandria Bay, NY. He was buried in Walton Street Cemetery, Alexandria Bay, NY. They moved to the USA in about 1880. He was living at Alexandria Bay,Jefferson Co., NY at the time of his father's death in 1906.

There is a marriage registration in the Ontario Archives(RG80-MS932-6-21-368) that reads: Leonard, Daniel, 27, of Westbrook,born Kingston, bachelor, carpenter, son of James and Elizabeth Leonard,married Maria E. Landon, 24, of Landsdown, daughter of James and AnnLandon. Witnesses: J. Gremizen and F. Hulin, both of Gananoqui,September 29, 1872, at Gananaqui. Both bride and groom EpiscopalMethodists." There is a Maria (Landon) Leonard, 1847-1925, buried in theWalton Street cemetery, Alexandria Bay, NY. There are many otherLeonards buried in this cemetery.

In the 1880 Census, he was a carriage maker, 34, living with his wife,Mariah, 32, son Nathan 14, and son Horton (?), 2 mos. In the 1900Census, the family is listed ad D.V. Leonard, Maria E. Leonard, N.J.Leonard, H. L. Leonard, and K. G. Leonard. In the 1910 Census, Danieland Maria Leonard and son Guy were living at 11 Church Street inAlexandria Bay. Son Nathaniel and his wife Ethell were living at 12Church Street, and son Horton and wife May were living at 7 ChurchStreet. They're both listed in the 1920 Census. They became citizens in1888. His son Nathaniel and son's wife Ethel, 46, both born in NY, wereliving with his parents at the time of the 1920 Census.

Daniel Wright LEONARD and Maria Elizabeth LANDON were married in 1873 in Canada. Maria Elizabeth LANDON was born in Jul 1848 in Canada. She died in 1925 in Alexandria Bay, NY. She was buried in Walton Street Cemetery, Alexandria Bay, NY. Daniel Wright LEONARD and Maria Elizabeth LANDON had the following children:
