Eleventh Generation

1250. Edward Fitz RANDOLPH was born before 5 July 1605 in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England. He was born before 5 July 1607. He died about 1675 at the age of 70 in Piscataway, Middlesex Co., New Jersey. Edward was also known as Edward FitzRandolph. Edward came to America with the Winthop fleet in 1630, initially settling in Scituate, MA. He built the 38th house in Scituate. There, on 10 May 1637 he married Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Blossom and joined the church shortly thereafter. In 1639, he moved to Barnstable, Cape Cod. He sold his house there on June 1, 1649, and moved to West Barnstable. In 1669 he and his family moved to Piscataway, near New Brunswick and Randolphsville, NJ, because New England patriotism and religion were too restrictive. He died in 1684/5 in Piscataway, Middlesex Co., NJ and was buried in St. James churchyard, now Stelton or Edison, Middlesex Co., NJ.

Book by Oris FitzRandolph, Edward FitzRandolph Branch Lines, privately published, Ann Arbor, MI, 2nd ed. 1980, gives descendants. Elizabeth BLOSSOM and Edward Fitz RANDOLPH were married on 10 May 1637 in Scituate, Plymouth Co, MA.

1251. Elizabeth BLOSSOM was born in 1620 in Leyden, Holland. She died in 1713 at the age of 93 in Piscataway, Middlesex Co., New Jersey.

	ii.	Nathaniel RANDOLPH died on 10 December 1640 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA.
	iii.	Nathaniel RANDOLPH died on 21 November 1714 in Woodbridge, NJ.
	iv.	Mary RANDOLPH died about 1649.
	v.	Mary FITZRANDOLPH was born on 2 June 1650 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA. She died on 24 January 1738 at the age of 87 in West Barnstable, Barnstable Co., MA.
	vi.	John FITZRANDOLPH died in 1653.
	vii.	John FITZRANDOLPH was born (date unknown).
	viii.	Elizabeth FITZRANDOLPH was born in 1657.
	ix.	Thomas Fitz RANDOLPH was born on 16 August 1659.
	x.	Hope Fitz RANDOLPH was born on 2 April 1661.
	xi.	Benjamin Fitz RANDOLPH was born (date unknown).
