176. Eleazer SLOCUM was born on 20 January 1694 in Dartmouth, MA. He died after 18 January 1738 at the age of 43 in Dartmouth, MA. He received the north 100 acres of his father's farm when his father died. The tract was later known as the Henry Allen farm.

Will dtd. January 18, 1738, probated March 20, 1738/39. Mentions wife Deborah and 8 children.

He settled in Dartmouth as a yeoman and a trader. His father bequeathed him all of the northerly part of his homestead farm both upland and meadow where now the dwelling house stands and contains one hundred acres set out from the rest of the homestead toogether with the houses, barns and orchard thereon standing, the Sedge flat lying to the east of Allen's Pond, two acres of saltmarsh joining to the creek. To Eliezer and Ebenezer were given the rest of one hundred and eight acres to be divied between them, two acres called Deerfield Swamp, one quarter of an acre of undivided cedar swamp.

Eliezer died in Dartmouth and his will was dated January 18-1738 and was proved March 20, 1738. His estate was appraised at L5,729. 6s. 8d. probably in Old Tenor. (Old Tenor, New Tenor and Middle Tenor were names used to designate the different issues of paper money by the American Colonial Governments during the eighteenth century)
