572. Edward BATES was born in 1605 in England. He died on 25 March 1686 at the age of 81 in Weymouth, Norfolk Co., MA. He came to Boston from Lincolnshire. He joined the first church of Boston in 1633. He was among the 57 inhanbitants of Boston who were disarmed in 1638 for following the religious teachings of Anne Hutchinson. He was an elder in the church for more than 30 years and hled many other offices of trust. He owned an interest in a corn mill and a saw mill.

573. Lydia FAIRBANKS was born before 13 June 1622. She died on 12 October 1704 at the age of 82 in Chelmsford, Middlesex Co., MA.
