146. Nathaniel BOSWORTH151 was born on 23 November 1693 in Bristol, RI. He died on 17 January 1771 at the age of 77 in Bristol, RI. He moved with his parents from Hull to Bristol, where, on December 11, 1714, he was deed a piece of land in Bristol between Thames Street and the water. He was a blockmaker. See Dorothy Chapman Saunders, "Lines of Descent from Nathaniel Bosworth Sr. of Bristol, Rhode Island," RIGR, Vol. 14. He built the first house in Bristol in 1680.

In 1744 he was imprisoned for debt in Bristol. He was termed "gentleman" when he was imprisoned for debt. In 1745 and 1746 he was elected Sheriff of the County and again from 1749 to 1761. He was apparently highly thought of, but was a poor businessman.

His children were all baptized at St. Michael's Church, Bristol.

Note: There are two Nathaniel's born the same year in Bristol. RIVR's are explicit about the Nathaniel of John being the one who married Sarah.



Sarah WARDWELL and Nathaniel BOSWORTH were married before 1715 in Bristol, RI.

147. Sarah WARDWELL151 was born in 1682 in Bristol, RI. She died on 11 October 1771 at the age of 89 in Bristol, RI. She died as a result of her clothes catching fire.
