628. James ALLEN was born in 1636 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA. He died on 25 July 1714 at the age of 78 in Tisbury, Dukes Co., MA. James' ancestry bears careful checking. Doubtful that he was the grandson of George Allen of Sandwich. Elizabeth PARTRIDGE and James ALLEN were married in 1662 in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA, or Braintree, MA.

629. Elizabeth PARTRIDGE was born in 1644 in Duxbury, Plymouth Co., MA. She died on 7 August 1722 at the age of 78 in Chilmark, Dukes Co., MA. She was also known as Elizabeth Perkins or Partridge.

Children were:

	i.	Lt. Joseph ALLEN was born about 1685. He died on 10 March 1727 at the age of 42 in Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard, MA.

	iii.	James ALLEN was born about 1678. He died on 14 February 1724 at the age of 46 in Chilmark, Martha's Vineyard, MA.
