In the 1841 Census, Lydia, 50, was living at Moore St. in Ecclesall Bierlow, with Henry, 20, Eliza, 15, Charles, 15, and Elizabeth, 2 mos. (two families together?). Further down the page is another Lydia Oldale, 50, listed next to Jno. Barker, 79. There were several other families listed on the page -- James and Hannah Abbott, Charles and Mary Foundain and family, Ann Richards 50 and daughter Elizabeth 19. Hannah who married James Abbott was the daughter of Joseph Oldale and Mary Beighton. Mary, who was born 23 Sept. 1812, was also the daughter of Joseph and Mary. Lydia was living at 2 Moor St., Ecclesall Bierlow, Sheffield, with her son, Charles, 25, at the time of the 1851 Census. Both were born in Sheffield. Was John Barker, b. abt. 1792, living at 112 Button Lane, Ecclesall Bierlow, with his family at the time of the 1851 Census, her brother? Lydia Barker, child of John and Elizabeth Barker, christened July 1, 1792 (IGI). A John Barker married Elizabeth May September 17, 1789, at Spofforth, Yorkshire (IGI #6909834).
