170. Joseph MUNRO was born on 12 March 1762 in Bristol, RI.³⁴ He died on 26 April 1849 at the age of 87 in Bristol, Bristol Co., RI. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, pension files #3171 and 17600. He apparently joined the militia before he was 16, served in the Continental Army, served on a privateer and was taken prisoner in New Brunswick and exchanged after 8 months, also served in General Varnum's Brigade, and as a substitute for his father, Nathan Munro.

Joseph MUNRO and Mary EDDY were married 29 Apri 1784 in Warren, Bristol Co., RI. Mary EDDY, daughter of Joseph EDDY and Lydia JOLLS, was born in 1764 in Warren, Bristol Co., RI. She died on 28 December 1831 at the age of 67 in Bristol, Bristol Co., RI.
