373. Abby M. LEONARD was born in May 1835 in Bristol, RI.71 She died on 22 April 1903 at the age of 67 in Bristol, RI.79 She was buried in Providence, RI. In the 1850 Census, Abby and Henry Leonard were living with the Ellis'.

In the 1900 Census, Abby Ellis was a widow, 65, living with her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and James Gifford.

On her death certificate, it is stated that she was living at 92 State Street when she died of cancer of the uterus. Her physician was W. Fred Williams and her undertaker was George W. Simmons. She was buried in Providence (with her husband?). She spelled her name Abbie. Her middle name was probably Munro.

Abby M. LEONARD and Henry W. ELLIS were married on 23 August 1849 in State Street Methodist Church, Bristol, RI. Bristol Phenix, of 25 Aug 1849, p. 3. Henry W. ELLIS, son of Halsey ELLIS and Mahala , was born about 1829 in RI. He died on 28 July 1897 at the age of 68 in RI. He was listed as a carriage maker in the 1850 Census. He, his wife, and their child, Abby, were living with his mother-in-law, Abby Leonard.

Abby W. ELLIS was born in 1849. She died on 8 May 1882 at the age of 33 in RI.

Henry L. ELLIS was born in 1852 in Bristol, RI. He died on 14 August 1857 at the age of 5 in Bristol, RI.

Halsey ELLIS was born in 1854. He died on 31 May 1916 at the age of 62 in RI. He was a teamster and lived at 482 Atwells Avenue in Providence, per Providence City Directory, 1890.
