439. Bessie L. WALDRON was born in February 1884 in Providence, RI. Bessie was a telephone operator living with her mother, Maria Waldron, in the 1910 Census.

Bessie L. WALDRON and Edwin R. SIMMONS were married on 26 October 1916 in Providence, RI.¹⁰³ Edwin R. SIMMONS was born in September 1890 in Newport, Newport Co., RI. Edwin was living with his parents at 35 Yerba Avenue in Newport in the 1900 Census. He was the son of Christopher and Susan Simmons.

In the 1953 and 1935 Providence City Directories, he was living at 11 Union Street and was a fireman with the Providence Fire Department. Mrs. Annie Ridout was living at the same address. In the 1929 and 1933 Providence City Directories, he was living at the same address, except with Hubert Rideout, a butler. In the 1923 Providence City Directory, he was living at 113 Sheldon Street in Providence, working for the Providence Fire Department. In the 1930 Census, they were living at 11 Union Street. Maria Waldron was living with them. Edwin was a fireman. Bessie was working as a stenographer in the transportation field. They apparently had no children.
