He died on 2 July 1815 at the age of 52 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.¹⁵ The family lived at 52 Pea Croft, Sheffield. William was a saw smith, like his father. The IGI lists two dates for baptizing the same William: 6 February 1763 and 6 March 1763. Was the first his birth date? Mary COTTON and William REDCHESTER were married on 28 April 1783 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²¹

33. Mary COTTON was born before 2 October 1763 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²² She was born before 2 October 1763. She died on 23 November 1834 at the age of 71 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. She was living on Edward St. in Sheffield near her daughter when she died. Edward Street is on the outskirts of "The Crofts."

	ii.	John REDCHESTER²⁴ was born before 6 February 1785 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²⁵ He died on 12 June 1814 at the age of 29 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. John and Hannah also lived in Pea Croft, Sheffield. John was listed as a cutler in church records. He is listed as John Redchester, son of William and Mary, Scissorsmith, 8 April 1785, in church records. He is in the burial register as "John Redchester, age 29, 12 June 1814, Peacroft." John Register feels that with both father and son in Peacroft, he has the right relationships corroborated.
	iii.	William REDCHESTER was born before 8 April 1787 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²⁶
	iv.	Mary REDCHESTER was born before 3 October 1790 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²⁷ She died on 29 October 1840 at the age of 50 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. She died unmarried. She was living in Olborne St., Sheffield, at the time of her death, quite close to her mother, who was living on Edward St. Was she born October 3 or 30? Ref. C007757 6452.
	v.	Joseph REDCHESTER was born before 21 October 1792 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²⁸ Joseph is listed as a spindle maker in the records. No record of this Joseph can be found in the 1841 or 1851 Censuses (soundex). In the 1841 Census, there were Joseph Redchesters living in Stamfordham, Northumberland. Joseph, 35, shoemaker, and Margaret, 35, with children George, 12, Margaret 11, Thomas, 9, Joseph, 6, Jane, 3, and Ann, 1. By the next Census, they were apparently labelled Rochesters.

	viii.	George REDCHESTER was born on 1 December 1801 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.²⁹ He was christened on 3 January 1803 in Cathedral St. Peter, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. He died on 3 February 1865 at the age of 63 in St. Philip, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. His occupation was listed as scissor smith in the 1841 Census. The family lived on Bowling Green Street, St. George, Sheffield, at that time. He was living there with his wife Mary, 40, son John, 20, and daughter Ann, 15. George's sister-in-law, Elizabeth Elliott, 40, was living with them. In the 1851 Census, he and his wife and 3 grandchildren were living at 60 (or 126?) Trinity Street, Moorfield, Sheffield. The grandchildren were Henry Biggin Regester, Herbert Thomas Regester, and Mary Jane Frisk or Frish. He was a scissorsmith. Henry and Herbert were sons of George's son, John, who was living with his wife, Ann Biggin Register, with her mother, Mary Hammond, 52, at 8 Wentworth Street, Nether Hallam, St. Philips, Sheffield. George's sister-in-law, Elizabeth Elliott, 52, was living with them. After his wife Mary died in 1852, he married Ann Powles.
	ix.	Henry REDCHESTER was born on 20 April 1804 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.³⁰ He was christened on 25 May 1804 in Cathedral St. Peter, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. C007759 - 4540. P. 98879. John Register lists a date of 21 January 1804. Doublecheck. No record of him found in 1841 Census (soundex).
