34. Jonathan BIRKS was born on 21 July 1742 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. There were several Jonathan Birks born in Sheffield around 1740, and I'm not sure which is the right one. Ruth STACY and Jonathan BIRKS were married on 23 September 1770 in Cathedral Saint Peter, Sheffield, England.³¹

35. Ruth STACY was born before 22 September 1752 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.³² There was an Eliza Birks, dau. of James and Anne Birks, christened December 16, 1790 at Queen St. Independent or Congregational Church, Sheffield.

Children were:

	ii.	Elizabeth Penford BIRKS was born before 10 March 1771.
	iii.	Elisabeth BIRKS was born before 21 February 1781.
