1734. Bernard CAPEN117 was born about 1562 in Dorchester, Dorsetshire, England. He died on 8 November 1638 at the age of 76 in Dorchester, MA. He was buried in North Burying Ground, Dorchester, MA. He came over in 1633, arriving in Boston about July 24, 1633, resided first in Dorchester, and was a shoemaker. He became a freeman on May 25, 1636. He was granted a 30 acre lot in Dorchester, MA, on August 5, 1633. He was christened in 1568.

He may have been related to George Dyer, who also came over on the "Mary and John" and who is referred to as "his brother" in his will.

1735. Joan PURCHASE was born on 25 March 1578 in Dorchester, Dorset, England. She died on 26 March 1653 at the age of 75 in Dorchester, MA. She was buried in North Burying Ground, Dorchester, MA. Her sister, Aquila Purchase, set sail on the same ship, but died enroute to America, with Mrs. Anne Purchase, Oliver Purchase, and Sarah Purchase.
