40. George Washington Burt LEONARD⁴³ was born on 15 September 1815 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. He was buried in 1908 in Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham, MA. He died senile gangrene of the toes on 6 June 1908 at the age of 92 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. Check: was he the son of Lemuel and Olive Leonard? Family Search says so. His birth as a twin of Nathaniel is recorded in Taunton VR's. But ECL/GML have George Washington Burt Leonard, son of Lemuel and Olive, as marrying Harriet Pittman, with a daughter, Abbie, resulting from the union. Descendants have posted his picture on ancestry.com and endorse this line, with the marriage to Priscilla Wilbur. His death certificate from Massachusetts lists him as the son of William Leonard and Dinah Burt, with son William E. (Everett) Leonard reporting the death and burial in Raynham.

The 1870 Census has him living in Flora, Boone Co., IL, with wife Angelia, 39, and children Edgar, Flora, Charles, Clarence, and unnamed baby Leonard.

George Washington Burt LEONARD and Eliza J. WORTHLY were married on 26 August 1903 in Wareham, Plymouth Co., MA. This was his third marriage and her third marriage, according to the record. He was 87 and she was 72. His parents were William Leonard and Dinah Burt. Hers were Samuel Worthy and Asenath Sargent. Eliza J. WORTHLY, daughter of Samuel WORTHLY and Asenath SARGENT, was born (date unknown).

George Washington Burt LEONARD and Priscilla Ann WILBUR were married on 15 September 1843. Priscilla Ann WILBUR, daughter of Benjamin Franklin WILBUR, was born on 26 March 1824 in Sidney, Kennebec Co., ME. She died on 24 March 1866 at the age of 41.
