Samuel LEONARD was born on 28 August 1753 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.136 He died on 11 December 1840 at the age of 87 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.137 He was buried in Hillside Cemetery, Bridgewater, MA. He served as a drummer in Capt. Nathan Mitchell's company of minute men at the Lexington alarm, also Col. Thomas' regiment, siege of Boston. DAR Patriot Index.

Samuel LEONARD and Deborah MITCHELL were married about 1777 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA. Deborah MITCHELL was born in 1757 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA. She died on 28 October 1839 at the age of 82 in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., MA.137 She died of consumption (TB).
