He owned farms in Stockbridge and Rochester, VT. He was a Justice of the Peace and from his familiarity with law forms was often engaged in attending law suits. He died of consumption (TB).

Rowland LEONARD and Polly CHILD were married on 18 February 1813 in Pomfret, Windsor Co., VT. Polly CHILD²⁷⁵ was born in October 1793 in Sharon, VT. She died on 8 March 1878 at the age of 84 in Rochester, Windsor Co., VT.
