868. Andrew Simeon LEONARD100 was born on 3 July 1835 in Middlefield, Hampshire Co., MA. He died on 1 March 1905 at the age of 69 in Salt Lake City, UT. State of Utah death certificate. Death reported by son John. Some dissonance in records. Mother reported as Ellen Everett vs. Mary Everett, Age at death 72-7-27 vice 68. He was a contractor and builder in Sioux City, IA.

H served 11 mos. 19 days in the Union Army in the Civil War. (1864-65). He was a carpenter living with his family in Webster City, Hamilton Co., IA, at the time of the 1870 Census and in Humbold, Humbold Co., IA, at the time of the 1880 Census. In the 1900 Census he was a building contractor living in Salt Lake City. They had had 5 children, all of whom were still alive. In the 1906 City Directory for Salt Lake City, both he and his son John were carpenters living at 1930 S 7th E.

He lived finally in Oakland, CA.

ECL does not have Andrew as a child, and includes Leo, who was a grandson as #1876A. ECL-GML also includes a George F. Leonard, son of Bradford and Elizabeth, from RIVR's. That was someone else. Information on this family came from Philip Leonard and Bob Leonard of Salt Lake City, descendants.

An Andrew Leonard married Susanna Basey 18 Mar 1838 in Des Moines County, IA.

Andrew Simeon LEONARD and Etta MUNSON were married on 9 January 1862. Etta MUNSON100 was born in October 1843 in Pennsylvania. She was also known as Esther Munson.
