In the 1920 Census, the family was still living in Beverly, where Fred was a merchant and brother Willie had become a salesman.

In the 1930 Census, the family was still living in Beverly, where Fred was a salesman and John C. was a teacher. Brother Willie was still living with them.

Fred Lee LEONARD and Mattie C. were married about 1905. Mattie C. was born about 1886 in WV.

Fred Lee LEONARD and Mattie C. had the following children:

3519	ii.	Charles L. LEONARD was born on 16 April 1920 in Beverly, Randolph Co., VA. He died on 8 January 1989 at the age of 68 in Elkins, WV.⁶¹⁷
