445. Rev. Lemuel LEONARD¹¹⁵ was born on 23 November 1812 in Charlemont, MA. He studied at Amherst College from 1830 to 1833, spent four years in study and teaching in Heath, North Adams, Greenfield, and Ashfield, MA, completed the theological course in East Windsor Hill Seminary, CT, in 1839, was ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Portageville, NY, 31 October 1839 where he remained until 1849, wandered on toe Detroit, then Odell, IL, then Cottage Grove and Sun Prairie, WI, and finally to Fancy Creek and Richland City, WI.

Rev. Lemuel LEONARD and Hannah Billings MILLER were married on 19 November 1839. Hannah Billings MILLER, daughter of Moses MILLER, was born on 25 February 1813 in Heath, Franklin Co., MA. She died on 3 October 1862 at the age of 49 in Detroit, MI.
