301. Asa LEONARD⁸³ was born on 22 April 1771 in Worthington, Hampshire Co., MA.⁷³ He died on 29 January 1816 at the age of 44 in Pierpont, Ashtabula Co., OH. Asa came to Ohio in 1811 to look for land and found it in Pierpont (Ashtabula Co.) near some of his neighbors from Massachisetts. The family did not come immediately to Ohio, but lived in Sangerfield, NY, till the close of the War of 1812. They lived in a log house called the hotel until their own house was built. Asa lived only two years after his arrival in Ohio. The family continued to live in Pierpont.

Esther BROWN was born in 1781. She died on 27 June 1839 at the age of 58 in Pierpont, Ashtabula Co., OH.

Asa LEONARD and Esther BROWN had the following children:
