494. Gaius LEONARD¹³² was born on 28 February 1786 in Sharon, Windsor Co.,VT. He died on 18 December 1869 at the age of 83 in Ripon, WI. He was for many years a writing teacher, residing in Sharon, VT. In November 1855, he and the family removed to Ripon, WI.

Gaius LEONARD and Eunice SPALDING were married on 6 August 1816. Eunice SPALDING, daughter of Reuben SPALDING and Jerusha CARPENTER, was born on 29 September 1794 in Sharon, VT.

Gaius LEONARD and Eunice SPALDING had the following children:

1152	ii.	Jerusha Spalding LEONARD was born on 24 April 1819 in Sharon, VT. She died on 2 August 1838 at the age of 19 in Sharon, VT.
1153	iii.	John S. LEONARD²⁵⁰ was born on 7 April 1823 in Sharon, VT. He died on 21 June 1825 at the age of 2 in Sharon, VT.
